Bow Carpetcleaning Service Terms and Conditions

Bow Carpetcleaning service terms document introduction These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Bow Carpetcleaning provides domestic and commercial carpet cleaning services in the United Kingdom. By making a booking, the customer agrees to these terms in full. They are intended to create a clear understanding of the service scope, the booking process, payment obligations, cancellations, limitations of liability, waste handling requirements, and the law that applies to the agreement. For the avoidance of doubt, references to Bow Carpetcleaning, we, us, or our refer to the service provider, while you and your refer to the customer or person arranging the cleaning service.

The purpose of these terms is to ensure that every carpet cleaning service is delivered fairly, safely, and with reasonable expectations on both sides. Because carpets, upholstery, and related soft furnishings vary widely in age, fibre type, construction, and condition, results can differ from one property to another. We will always aim to deliver a professional standard of carpet cleaning, but the customer accepts that certain stains, wear, odours, or damage may not be fully removable.

Bow Carpetcleaning booking and service conditions section These terms apply to all bookings unless we agree otherwise in writing. Any variation must be confirmed by us in advance and should be treated as exceptional rather than standard. If any part of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply in full.

Booking Process

Bookings may be requested through our standard enquiry channels and are accepted subject to availability, inspection of the information provided, and confirmation from us. A booking is not considered final until it has been acknowledged by Bow Carpetcleaning. When arranging a Bow Carpetcleaning service, you must provide accurate details, including the type of area to be cleaned, approximate room sizes, flooring or fibre type if known, access information, parking limitations, and any known stains, spills, or special conditions. If the information supplied is incomplete or inaccurate, we may revise the quote, alter the service specification, or refuse the booking if the work is unsuitable.

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the site is ready for cleaning at the agreed time. This includes moving small items, securing pets, providing access to water and electricity where required, and informing us of any hazards or vulnerabilities such as loose flooring, unstable furniture, delicate materials, or previous treatment. Bow carpet cleaning appointments may require pre-treatment, extraction, or drying time depending on the condition of the carpet and the chosen method. We may also ask the customer to confirm acceptance of service notes before the appointment proceeds.

Bow Carpetcleaning payment and cancellation terms section We reserve the right to decline or reschedule a booking where the property conditions, access issues, safety concerns, or environmental limitations make the work impractical or unsafe. In such cases, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you promptly. If a site visit reveals conditions materially different from those disclosed during booking, the service may be adjusted and additional charges may apply with your agreement.

Payments

Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due on completion of the service on the same day. We accept payment methods communicated during the booking process and may require a deposit for larger or repeat works. Any deposit taken is applied toward the final price unless the booking is cancelled in circumstances where the deposit is non-refundable under these terms. All prices are stated in pounds sterling and may be subject to change prior to confirmation of a booking.

The price for carpet cleaning by Bow Carpetcleaning will normally be based on the areas to be cleaned, the level of soiling, the cleaning method required, and any optional treatments requested by the customer. Additional charges may apply for heavily soiled areas, stain-specific treatment, inaccessible rooms, parking restrictions, the need for extra drying support, or work that goes beyond the original scope. We will explain material changes before carrying out additional work where reasonably possible.

If payment is not received when due, we reserve the right to charge reasonable recovery costs and, where permitted by law, statutory interest on overdue sums. Title to any goods or materials supplied by us remains with us until payment is made in full. The customer must not withhold payment because of dissatisfaction with any aspect of the service unless that dissatisfaction is based on a genuine failure to perform the agreed work with reasonable care and skill.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule a booking by giving us reasonable notice. Where significant preparation has already been undertaken, or where a visit has been scheduled specifically for your property, late cancellations may result in a charge. Any deposit paid may be retained where the cancellation is made after we have reserved the appointment, allocated staff, or incurred costs that cannot reasonably be recovered. The amount retained will be proportionate to our losses and administrative costs.

If you are unable to provide access at the agreed time, or if the property is unavailable, we may treat the booking as a late cancellation or failed visit. Repeated short-notice changes may lead us to request advance payment for future appointments. If we need to cancel or reschedule due to illness, equipment failure, unsafe conditions, or circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable and offer a revised date where possible.

Service Performance and Customer Responsibilities

We will perform the Bow Carpetcleaning service with reasonable care and skill and in accordance with industry standards appropriate to the work agreed. However, the customer acknowledges that carpet cleaning is not an exact science. Some older stains, permanent marks, colour loss, fibre distortion, shading, bruising, previous chemical damage, or odours may remain visible even after treatment. We do not guarantee the complete removal of every stain or the restoration of carpets to a like-new condition.

Customers must ensure that carpets are suitable for cleaning and disclose any known issues before work begins. This includes colour fastness concerns, shrinkage risks, delicate natural fibres, underfloor heating, pre-existing damage, mould, damp, or contamination from bodily fluids, chemicals, or pests. If we reasonably believe the item is unsuitable for cleaning or may be damaged by the process, we may refuse treatment or proceed only after obtaining your express acknowledgement of the risk.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law. Subject to that, Bow Carpetcleaning will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or loss arising from any business interruption caused by the service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a booking, whether in contract, tort, negligence, or otherwise, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim, except where the law requires a different limit. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, hidden defects, natural wear, poor carpet construction, colour transfer from unstable dyes, or damage caused by incorrect information supplied by the customer. This includes issues caused by items left on the carpet, insufficient ventilation, or instructions not to move delicate furniture unless expressly agreed.

If damage is alleged, the customer must notify us as soon as reasonably possible and allow us the opportunity to inspect the issue before any repair, replacement, or further treatment is undertaken by another party. We may decline responsibility where no reasonable opportunity to assess the matter has been given. Any remedial work carried out by us will be limited to what is reasonably necessary and commercially proportionate.

Waste Regulations and Environmental Handling

Bow Carpetcleaning operates in accordance with applicable UK waste disposal and environmental requirements. Waste generated during cleaning may include used solution, disposable materials, vacuum residues, contaminated cloths, and recovered debris. We will manage such waste responsibly and, where applicable, separate, contain, and dispose of it through lawful channels. The customer must not ask us to dispose of hazardous materials outside the scope of the agreed service or in a manner that would breach environmental or waste legislation.

Bow Carpetcleaning waste regulations and liability terms If the work involves wastewater recovery, stain removal residues, or other liquid waste, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that disposal is safe and lawful. The customer must inform us in advance of any substances that may require special handling, such as biological contamination, chemicals, oils, solvents, or sharps. We may refuse to handle such materials if they fall outside our service permissions, training, equipment, or legal responsibilities. Where specialist disposal is needed, additional charges or third-party services may be required.

The customer is responsible for disclosing any environmental hazards present at the property. If we identify a waste issue or unsafe material during the visit, we may stop work immediately and remove our equipment from the premises. Any completed work up to that point will remain chargeable. We are not responsible for fines, sanctions, or claims arising from inaccurate disclosures by the customer regarding the nature of the waste or contamination.

Access, Property Conditions, and Safety

The customer must provide safe access to the property and the areas to be cleaned. This includes the right to enter the premises, practical room access, and a safe working environment. We may refuse to begin or continue work if conditions are unsafe, including poor lighting, severe clutter, aggressive behaviour, exposed wires, unstable stairs, or any circumstance that presents a health and safety concern. In such cases, the booking may still be chargeable if time and resources have been allocated.

We are not responsible for moving heavy, fixed, or fragile items unless this has been expressly agreed in advance. Where furniture is moved as part of the service, the customer accepts that minor marks or scuffs may occur on floors or fittings already in place. Any special instructions relating to antiques, electronics, or fragile surfaces must be made clear before the appointment. Bow carpet cleaning work may also require us to avoid certain zones if doing so protects the integrity of the property or equipment.

Complaints and Rectification

If you are not satisfied with the service, you should notify us within a reasonable time after completion and before making any alterations or using a third party to address the issue. We may request photographs, a description of the concern, and the opportunity to revisit the property if appropriate. Where a genuine service failure is identified, we may offer re-cleaning, partial correction, or another remedy that we consider fair in the circumstances.

Complaints will be reviewed on the basis of the information available, the condition of the carpet before treatment, the method used, and the nature of the problem reported. A claim will not succeed where the issue results from factors outside our control, such as pre-existing wear, incorrect use after cleaning, or inadequate drying caused by restricted ventilation. This clause does not affect any statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations where such delay or failure is caused by events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, without limitation, severe weather, flooding, transport disruption, power failure, industrial action, equipment breakdown, public health restrictions, fire, or other unforeseen events. Where such circumstances arise, we will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the appointment or otherwise minimise inconvenience.

Data and Confidentiality

Any personal information provided in connection with a booking will be used only for managing the service, maintaining records, and meeting our legal or accounting obligations. We will not share customer information unnecessarily. Any confidential or sensitive information observed during the course of work will be treated appropriately and used only where necessary for the delivery of the service or compliance with law.

Bow Carpetcleaning governing law and general provisions section Governing Law These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from or connected to a booking or the supply of services by Bow Carpetcleaning shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory legal rules provide otherwise. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

General Provisions

If we do not insist immediately on strict performance of any term, that does not mean we waive our right to do so later. No person other than the customer and Bow Carpetcleaning has any right to enforce these Terms and Conditions under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, except where the law requires otherwise. These terms represent the complete agreement between the parties in relation to the service booked and supersede prior discussions, notes, or informal representations.

By confirming a booking with Bow Carpetcleaning, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions. The customer is also responsible for ensuring that anyone acting on their behalf is aware of the same obligations. These terms are designed to support a professional and transparent carpet cleaning service, while allowing reasonable flexibility where the condition of the property or the nature of the work requires it.
